After a long hiatus (I forgot I even had a blog) I return with a new entry from Germany. So far it’s been a homecoming of sorts. I finally got to see my homegirl Kat and meet her husband Kareem which at first I thought was gonna be weird since Kat and I used to date a few years back. Actually I think he and I get along better than Kat and I do or at least we let her believe that to tick her off. Germany would be perfect if it wasn’t for this crappy Euro to dollars exchange rate. One dollar is currently .67€ which makes my big sallary look not so big fast. Well at least I got this cool iPhone for only 1€. I’ll try to put some picture up when the sun stays out past five and I go somewhere picture worthy so don’t hold your breathes.
In case you didn’t catch it my boy Usain Bolt, killed it tonight at the World Championships. He set a new world record in the 100-meter race at 9.58 seconds, the previous title had been held by Tyson Gay at 9.69 seconds. We we’re eating dinner tonight when the race came of on, but the staff (knowing that we wanted to see the race) let us hangout in their work room to catch it. He’s such a talent and a character, I hope to see him catch up with the Phelps endorsement deals someday.
I just want to add that Usain Bolt is not human. What he’s doing is beyond even steroids. Man wasn’t built to move that fast without an engine. If there’s ever a Justice League or Flash movie he better be on the casting call short list.
Racism Sucks but Not Nearly As Bad As Being Broke
For the past week I’ve been think about what will I write about today and it wasn’t until this morning that I came up with a topic. Last night sparked a series of discussions about racism due to the appearance of the Harbinger of Racism himself the Rev. Al Sharpton. I’ve always had a love-hate relationship with Rev. Sharpton, sometimes he has some excellent points but even when he does he tends to push it too far. Then other times I feel like he’s the black Rush Limbaugh. I mean I know racism exist and it seems all the racist left in the US got law degrees and became judges and DAs. As bad as that is it’s not the major divide in this country, no one in their right mind is discriminating against Oprah! For years racism, has been the front for the true battle of the have’s versus the have not’s. There is just as much poverty, drugs and violence in the trailer parks as there is in the ghetto. Their schools are just as much a disgrace; they drop out just as much. If we as people focused why the poor stay poor in this country and work together instead of dividing us into subsets maybe we could get some serious progress done. But as long as people equate poor and disadvantage with minorities the rich will stay rich and the poor will become poorer and dumber. It’s no coincidence that the poorest states of the union are also the worse educated and most racially divided and the most Republican too.
We need to start focusing on education in this country again, it seems like since the Cold War ended we had no need to be the smartest and brightest anymore. I never truly noticed how dumb we’ve become as a country until I traveled outside of it. They don’t hate us for our freedom; they hate us because we’re stupid, arrogant and rude. I felt more at home in Germany than I ever had back here. Now let’s think about what I just said. Germany, a country whom 70 years ago, was killing anybody whom wasn’t white enough; now you have Turks, Africans, Asians, etc living peacefully together. How it is that Germany can get their act together so much faster than us?? I know we’re better than this aren’t we??
When is it ok to make MJ jokes again?
Ok for those of you that don’t know, literally minutes before I got the 1st tweet about Michael Jackson being in the hospital I was at work telling my co-workers about the Robot Chicken episode when White MJ fought black MJ then as soon as I sat be down he’s in the hospital and the only thing I could think of is please don’t die because I will feel like the world’s most evil underachiever. Well for about 30 min I felt like a terrible human being, then I got over it. As much as I’ve made MJ jokes in the past I’ve always thought he was a genuinely great person and extraordinary talent but let’s face it dude was a weird man. I never believe he sexually assaulted those boys, I believe he literally slept with them in the same bed, weird! I’ve always the parents of those boys should be locked up for pimping their children. Imagine someone telling a 12 year old boy, “Don’t worry he won’t actually do anything”, “But mommy what if he does?”, “Just bite that pillow and take one for the team!!! You gonna make mommy rich!”
Anyway how long do you think it will be before it’s safe to tell MJ jokes again? A month, a few weeks, a year. Is it ok if we caveat the jokes by saying it’s all Joe Jackson’s fault?? A brotha needs to know!!

Greetings and welcome to the mind of the world’s greatest underachiever. Do I really think I’m an underachiever…. no but it sounded interesting to say. I’m an average guy, 33, single, no children that I know of, living in NC, working for the Army as a contractor, (and no I don’t work for Black Water!!). I like to rant on a plethora of different topics ranging from sports, politics, pop culture, racial issues, and why are people so dumb.
